This project involved the comprehensive transformation of a detached five-bedroom house in West Finchley, elevating it from a dated residence into a contemporary, light-filled family home. A series of carefully designed extensions and a part-single, part-double loft conversion redefined the property’s outlook, giving it a renewed presence and a greatly enhanced architectural character.

The original entrance door was meticulously restored, preserving a touch of the house’s heritage while complementing the fresh, modern aesthetic introduced throughout. Inside, extensive internal alterations reshaped the layout to create a more fluid, spacious and inviting environment. The new open-plan configuration places a beautifully detailed island kitchen at the heart of the home, offering a generous social space for cooking, dining and gathering.

Above, the newly formed loft level—split into single and double-height elements—provides an elegant retreat complete with a lavish bathroom, adding both comfort and value to the property. Together, these interventions have completely reimagined the bungalow, bringing contemporary design principles, improved functionality and a refined sense of style to every corner of the home.
